Today, we had a stop in the small town of Gorinchem in South Holland. It’s the largest fortified city in the Netherlands and is nestled between the Linge and Merwede rivers. Rotterdam
Rotterdam is another old city with it originally being settled back in 900 AD. Unfortunately, most of the city was destroyed by bombing during WWII. It is still worth a visit as I learned during a same day stop along with Dordrecht.
