During our most recent trip, we decide to fly into Guayaquil instead of Quito. We spent 2 days exploring the city before taking a flight to Galapagos Islands. Several people told us there isn’t much to see in Guayaquil. While it’s not as popular as Quito, there is some hidden treasures to see including Iguana Park, the boardwalk, and the beautiful city hall. Consider taking one of the walking tours offered, especially on a free day. These are worth doing just to get a feel for what to see in the city.
