We continued our exploration through Ecuador with a visit to the Middle of the World Monument or La Mitad del Mundo
The day was rather overcast and rainy, but still worth the drive and exploring the area. We did have to ask if this was truly the ‘real’ middle of the earth. There is nice small museum known as the Museo de Sitio Intiñan, which has a claim to fame that it is the actual true location of the Equator (confirmed by GPS).
